About Us

Awning Doctors was established in 1985 by Dave Lurtsema. He still owns and operates the business today. Before entering the awning business, his background was in aerospace.  Awning Doctors was first launched as a cleaning service.  The needs and demands of the field led to repairs and installations.  Soon thereafter, Awning Doctors grew to become the  "full service" awning business it is today.  Awning Doctors is dedicated to quality workmanship and exceeding customer expectations.  We believe in being on time, prompt follow through and putting the customer first.  Most importantly, we love what we do and have fun doing it.
